We are seeking a self-motivated DevOps Engineer to provide their expertise in cloud technologies and DevOps practices. This role will be responsible for developing, automating, maintaining and supporting the various components of our cloud infrastructure.

If successful, you will be expected to be a domain expert in the management of cloud services and, in particular, Azure. This role will further enjoy working collaboratively with team members and stakeholders from a range of areas including members, software developers, information security, systems engineering and systems operations.

Reporting to the DevOps Team Leader, this position is a permanent, full-time opportunity.

 

What will you be doing?

  • Manage hybrid cloud environments in VMware ESX and Microsoft Azure
  • Build, test and maintain tools for development, delivery, deployment, monitoring and operational support
  • Identify technical improvements that will benefit members and staff
  • Provide input for or develop business systems solutions, estimates and specifications
  • Contribute to team learning development and knowledge sharing

 

What are we looking for in you?

  • Proven ability to effectively prioritise IT operations in an agile environment
  • Ability to manage technical and hybrid cloud environments, i.e. Microsoft Azure
  • Proven analytical and methodical problem solving skills 
  • Experience in identifying and building automation opportunities
  • Experience supporting high availability production systems
