Software solutions focused role in Geelong. 2 month contract with strong potential to turn into permanent.

Due to an internal resignation, we are now seeking to appoint a Project Manager to a 2 month contract (daily rate) in Geelong with a very strong possibility of an ongoing permanent position.

Your new role
In this role, you will primarily be responsible for the successful implementation of software solutions to a range of customers around Australia.

In addition to on-time and on-budget delivery, you will be responsible for:

• Leading large and complex projects or programs of work, and at times multiple projects
• Safeguarding success by ensuring team processes are created, followed and reported on
• Liaising and communicating with clients as required, promoting buy in and positive feedback
• Identifying areas of improvement for project staff and to complete Project Performance Evaluations for staff assigned to projects at the conclusion of a project/assignment
• Advising on changes required to processes or methodologies

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate:

• Tertiary qualifications in IT, Business or Project Management
• Project Management certification in PRINCE2 or PMBOK (Practitioner preferred)
• Proven track record in successfully managing high-complexity or high-value projects
• Strong organisation and resource planning skills, including delegation, to ensure delivery of projects
• Strong budget/forecast management skills and an understanding of revenue generation through lifecycle of a project
• Strong financial literacy and the ability to manage a professional services team
• Strong communication, interpersonal and team working skills with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships internally and externally, as well as with team members in a virtual/remote environment
• Ability to track and escalate risk appropriately
• Ability to successfully pass an Australian Federal Police Check
• Full workings rights for Victoria, Australia
