Position overview
Information Technology Services (ITS) provides corporate IT services to ANU staff, students and visitors in support of achieving excellence in research, teaching and public policy. These services include network, communications, computing platforms, data storage, desktop and mobile access, enterprise systems, student learning environments, and IT security. The work of ITS is coordinated with services provided within and by University Colleges and other Service Divisions to form a cohesive, University-wide information services infrastructure.
The ITS Network team deliver Network infrastructure services across both fixed and wireless networks throughout the ANU campus and across satellite sites. This role will work under the broad direction of the Network Support Manager, primarily responsible for network switching and routing services, but also assist with the design, operations and maintenance of Wireless, Network Load Balancer and foundation network services (DNS, DHCP, NTP etc).
To succeed in this role, you will need to be comfortable taking ownership and delivering quality network services in a fast paced environment, with a proven record covering Cisco switching/routing, in addition to some familiarity with network load balancers, enterprise wifi, IPAM solutions and network monitoring.
