Role Overview

Front office developer role in the Quantitative Solutions area of the bank which is responsible for derivative pricing, risk and independent valuations across their financial markets businesses. They build and maintain their in-house pricing library used globally in various systems and applications as well as a number of in-house trading and sales tools.

• The primary focus of the role will be to help build out our in-house derivatives pricing and structuring tool used by sales and trading.
• The work will consist of product enhancement, improvements to the internal design, functional improvements to the look and feel, integration of straight through processing (STP) and trade query from our deal capture platform and integration of credit and capital APIs.
• In terms of development, the role will require solid demonstrable experience in Java in particular Multithreading, MVC, Swing, SQL, XML or YAML.
• Knowledge of financial derivative products for Fixed Income or FX would be advantageous but is not essential.

Skills & Experience

• Min. 5+ years development experience in  Java, SQL and XML
• Solid Object Oriented design techniques
• Strong experience in multithreading and algorithms
• Experience with MVC frameworks
• Work in an Agile environment i.e. Sprints for development
• Using source code management tools i.e. SVN or Git
• You will be delivery focused and able to respond quickly to business requests with a proactive attitude.
