Partnering with this leading Queensland Government department, I am looking for an experienced Technical Business Analyst to work as part of a cross functional team operating in an Agile delivery environment. This is an initial 14-month contract + extensions based in Brisbane CBD.
About the Project
This is a core system replacement initiative that is migrating management functions from the SAP4.6c based application to a Commercial off the shelf (COTS) system which will be externally hosted and supported.
This business-led program introduces significant change to the work of the service and its management of assets, clients and provider contracts, and will be implemented in multiple phases. In addition to implementing the new management system, this program will also deliver an updated version of SAP (ECC6), a whole of government finance solution, as well as other integrated solutions.
About the Role
- Work with business and IT to develop designs that meet requirements (functional, non-functional and technical), and that can be suitably implemented within the chosen technology;
- Performing investigative analysis on already built systems, in order to baseline requirements and design (for both the business and technical domains);
- Work with the business to capture, validate, prioritise and document the business requirements that will be implemented by the solution;
- Perform the key issue analysis needed as input into meetings with the business and IT so that decisions can be made effectively; and
- Ensure the actions and outcomes of these meetings are recorded and any outstanding actions are documented and managed.
About You
- At least 5+ years Business Analysis experience within a complex Business Systems Implementation environment;
- Proven experience working collaboratively with multiple partners to deliver successful outcomes for complex business / system problems;
- Demonstrated Business Analysis skills, with the ability to engage across a diverse group of stakeholders;
- Excellent communication skills across both the business and technical teams;
- The ability to lead and facilitate workshops;
- Be a self-starter that is able to lead and influence others;
- The ability to work within tight timeframes;
- Collaborative consultative approach to your work; and
- Experience in an Agile-Principle based ecosystem.
Due to the nature of this position, candidates must be Australian Permanent Residents or Australian Citizens to be considered for this position.
