About The Role
Role Location: 100 Queen Street, Melbourne, Australia
Role Type: Permanent, Fulltime
In this role, you will develop low-latency electronic Foreign Exchange (eFX) software solutions that meet business and customer needs and are stable, secure, scalable, extensible and maintainable. This includes interpreting requirements, designing and coding solutions, creating technical specifications, estimating and forecasting work, assisting/directing and managing team work and supporting solution testing and implementation. The eFX platform provides market execution capability for FX traders and trading algorithms, liquidity to ANZ’s global investor, institutional and corporate clients along with acting as the pricing engine for other internal businesses. You will also be responsible for providing software development leadership, coaching and direction to more junior Software Developers and will potentially involve directly managing a small team.
About You
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
- Tertiary qualification in software engineering/computer science;
- Full software development experience (incl.Spring, Hibernate etc.)
- High availability design, event sourcing and low-latency
- Knowledge of Kx/KDB/Q a significant advantage
- FIX electronic communications protocol exposure
- Electronic FX domain experience or equities/trading systems knowledge
- Strong problem resolution and design capability and delivery focus
- Demonstrated team leadership experience
