The Opportunity

Reporting to the Chief Digital Officer, this role will initially provide leadership for the initiation, scoping and procurement strategy for the CHQ Imaging Informatics Project. Once the procurement strategy has been defined you will have the opportunity for an ongoing leadership role within the broader program team of contract specialists, analysts, architects, integration specialists, cloud computing specialist along with business and medical imaging subject matter experts, delivering project products such as business requirements, commercial contracts, functional and non-functional requirements, solution architecture design documents, workflows, test strategies & plans and business processes.

 

The Successful Candidate

  •   Proven experience in the delivery of large scale complex IM/ICT program/project(s), preferably in the health care industry, with a specific focus on Medical Imaging & RIS/PACS (SFIA Skill: PRMG: Level 6)
  •   Proven stakeholder relationship management skills to support effective business change, including the ability to initiate relationships and influence key stakeholders. (SFIA Skill: RLMT: Level 6)
  •   Expertise in, and application of, appropriate project management methodologies (preferably PRINCE2), and an ability to promote and provide advice on the use of appropriate project management techniques, methodologies and tools (SFIA Skill: METL: Level 5)
  •   Proven excellent negotiation, consultation, facilitation and effective written and oral communication skills for use in a complex project environment. (NHS: Effective and strategic influencing)
  •   Proven experience in leading, managing and mentoring an effective multi-disciplinary team. (NHS: Leading change through people)
  •   Proven analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills and a proven ability to work in a team environment developing effective working relationships with team members. (NHS: Collaborative working)
