Job tasks and responsibilities

DEVELOPMENT

  • Understand client requirements
  • Research the best method for the development of solutions
  • Develop Add-Ins and Integrations
  • Enhance existing Add-Ins and Integrations to work more efficiently/effectively as new technologies evolve 
  • Troubleshoot issues
  • Installation of Add-Ins and Integrations at customer sites

DOCUMENTATION

  • Write and maintain documentation for each solution
  • Maintain version control on code
  • Document and maintain version control of Add-Ins and Integrations for customer sites

TESTING

  • Testing and validation of code
  • Under take load testing
  • Testing to ensure what was agreed too with client is what we are delivering

TROUBLESHOOTING

  • Receive and action requests for troubleshooting of Add-Ins
  • Liaise with customers for troubleshooting of Add-Ins
  • Liaise with third party software vendors where required for advice and assistance with troubleshooting Add-Ins and Integrations

Longer term to grow and evolve into;

STRATEGY AND PLANNING

  • Implement, manage and monitor application development lifecycle
  • Provide weekly reports on development activities
  • Input into the marketing strategy for development outputs
  • Present and deliver demonstrations on development outputs
  • Manage development meetings with relevant panels

PROCESSES AND PROCEDURES

  • Develop, update and maintain application development documentation 
  • Develop, update and maintain development databases
  • Develop, update and maintain policy and procedures
  • Implement processes for the management of source code

OPERATIONAL

  • Ensure development life cycle meets schedule timelines
  • Coordinate the installation of solutions to client sites
  • Coordinate and manage escalated development service requests 
  • Liaise with partner vendors to ensure issues are resolved
  • Mange client communications and expectations

TEAM MANAGEMENT AND DEVELOPMENT

  • Provide training and guidance to team members to ensure they are following processes and delivering quality solutions
  • Manage the performance review process for each team member
  • Leave approval and reporting
  • Establish and nurture team values that meet the company culture

PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT 

  • Maintain and upgrade your skills as required
  • Continually review work practices to make improvements
  • Undertake professional training to increase skill level
  • Contribute to the maintenance and development of procedural documentation needed to perform your role

Skills and experience

This role is based at a experienced coder looking to evolve into a Management/Coder role and as such open to: 

  • University graduates
  • 5+ Years' experience working in the development area
  • Aspirations to be a leader / manager
  • Knowledge skills and experience in the following product suites;
    • Microsoft .net
    • C#
    • Microsoft SharePoint
    • Javascript
