The role

the ETL Developer will be responsible for supporting and maintaining our end to end Data Solution and Infrastructure. Over time, you will seek to improve this solution, and our data capture methods, to ensure that the business can make data-driven decisions with complete confidence.

This person will work closely with the IT Solution Lead to extract, load and transform data into our Data Warehouse, as well as work closely with the internal reporting and retention teams to ensure that data requirements are captured and satisfied through our solutions.

About you

This role will suit a recent graduate or someone with 1-2 years experience. The successful candidate will be a self starter who is able to work independently, someone who is a strong communicator and willing to learn new tools and technologies as well as education concepts. We are looking for someone who has a strong mathematical background with ability to understand reporting and analysis algorithms.

Essential skills:

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics or a related field
• Knowledge of concepts within the data domain (Dimensional Modelling, Data Marts, Data Lakes, Data Warehouses, ETL, Reporting concepts).
• Knowledge of a range of technologies within the data domain (SQL Databases, EMR, Talend, SAS, Tableau etc.).
• Understanding of Cloud Platform (Amazon Web Services preferred)
• Data Warehousing experience (AWS Redshift or columnar database preferred)
• Intermediate SQL skills, able to performance tune tables/queries.
• Experience in programming- Java and/or Python
