Role Description

This is a full time role based in Brisbane CBD where you will have opportunities to build on your current testing and development skills, with major contributions to  automated testing, the expansion of the automated testing framework, and the implementation of continuous integration, this is an interesting and technical role.  You will engage with developers on a daily basis to fully understand the desired functionality and then develop testing methods to verify functionality and uncover defects within our product suite.  You will be expected to pro-actively learn the environment in which the software solution will operate in order to articulate risks, constraints and to uncover product defects and report them in a timely manner. 

Requirements or the Role:

• Organized, detail-oriented, accurate and thorough
• Self-managed, proactive work style.  Able to work independently and in a team environment
• Excellent analytical , problem solving and troubleshooting skills
• UNIX/Linux/Windows Administration
• Good understanding of networking
• Ability to create and write and review technical documentation
• Must have a Australian residency permit
• Ability to analyze and writes test standards and procedures.
• Develop and executes software test plans.
• Create and Maintain automated scripts ( bash, python, perl etc...)
• Programming languages/skills ( C/C++, HTML/JAVASCRIPT/CSS )

Desired Education/Experience:

• BS degree in Computer Science or related discipline
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Coding or testing against a formalized API
• Desire to engage in challenging assignments
• Virtualization exposure and experience ( VMware/Xen/Virtualbox/Hyper-V )
• Cloud exposure and experience ( AWS/Azure/Openstack )
• Familiarity with source control tools like Git is advantageous
• Use of test automation tools (Selenium/Gauge/Cucumber or similar)
• Experience using management tools  (TestRail/JIRA/Confluence) is advantageous
