We are seeking a talented frontend developer to join our rapidly expanding Digital team. With a mandate to deliver cutting-edge, disruptive web-applications and products to the financial services sector, we are seeking someone who can hit the ground running and become an integral part of our tight-knit team. You will be an exceptional communicator who has amazing FED skills and is passionate about using the latest web technologies to create extraordinary results.

The role:

With an impressive portfolio under your belt, you will be in your element when you are coding responsive single-page applications, taking mid-sized website builds from inception to completion, working with product owners to solve business problems and design appropriate features, implementing stunning UI/UX, conducting cross browser testing, discussing the latest technologies with senior developers or consistently working to improve the development throughput and quality of the team.

The ideal candidate will likely have built and released their own apps on the iTunes store or similar, and or will have completed a plethora of small personal projects.

You will require:

• 5+ years commercial experience in similar role;
• Exceptional HTML5 + CSS3 capabilities and the modern client-side ecosystem;
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Adept at either working in a team or with minimal supervision;
• Able to take the lead on website builds, from inception, through CMS install and configuration to development and deployment;
• Flair for design and usability; able to take PSD style guides and interpolate into rich UX; fluent in Photoshop other applicable Adobe Creative Cloud suite (you would be working closely with our design team);
• Extensive knowledge and experience with JavaScript development including object oriented JavaScript programming skills;
• At least 6 months of real, hands-on development experience (1+ years will be an advantage);
• Demonstrable knowledge on how to build AngularJS apps with solid code architecture;
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to successfully conduct quality assurance for production systems;
• Excellent time management skills; and
• Knowledge of client-side security issues and best practice approaches;

We would love it if you had:

• Excellent working knowledge of technologies & frameworks – build tools, package managers, template engines, debugging & profiling tools etc;
• Experience with rapid prototyping and creating working wireframes;
• In-depth experience with cross browser issues, testing approaches and solutions;
• Strong information elicitation, organisation and analysis skills;
• Native mobile application development experience; and
• An online presence on Stack Overflow, Git hub etc;
