Job Description

The Business Analyst (BA) will focus on maintaining and improving business processes and customer experience in the company and work with business leader, SMEs and third party vendors to ensure that quality outcomes and business benefits are realised.

The BA will be responsible for ensuring that business/user requirements are defined, understood and delivered in IT solutions.  

Responsibilities

• Understand business strategy and business process for Apollo
• Analyse the effectiveness of business workflow and customer and user experience to identify areas of business process improvement.
• Work with business leaders and SMEs to understand and document business requirements and acceptance criteria for agreed business priorities
• Work with development teams internal and external to specify technology solutions and proposed timeframes
• Gain agreement and approval from business leaders for development items and planned delivery
• Work within the development process to ensure expected outcomes by the development of requirements and success criteria
• Ensure quality of solutions developed through testing activities
• Define and communicate (training where applicable) changes to business process to ensure benefits are realised
• Ensure Apollo can measure and demonstrate the positive impact of the technology changes described within the roadmaps on cost, process, systems and/or customers and end users
• Maintain company critical IP in the form of system requirements, design and configuration

Skills and Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in supporting internal stakeholders, with a proven track record of customer excellence
• Ability to map and translate business process into system strategy
• Ability to understand, identify and articulate key business architecture
• Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
• Able to build strong interpersonal relationships with peers, brand leaders, and other senior management throughout the company and third party vendors
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Able to align multiple strategies and ideas
• Confident in producing and presenting work
• In-depth understanding of the technology industry standard practices and methodologies
• Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or related field – Highly desirable
• Five years' experience in software development projects
• Strict adherence to company philosophy/mission statement/sales goals
• Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)
• Excellent analytical and time-management skills
• Experience in Retail/manufacturing highly desirable
