Our client is a government agency with a significant infrastructure footprint and large cloud presence. The department operates a number of programs and projects that focus on the delivery of effective technology solutions from a wide variety of vendors.

Key Skills and Experience:

- Development, communication and maintenance of:

• IT Architectures
• IT Strategies
• Technology Roadmaps
• Policies

- Stakeholder management to CxO level
- Ability to provide technical leadership to project teams
- Broad experience in a wide range of information systems technologies and technical architectures, including

• Microsoft server and desktop platforms and associated management platforms
• Cloud product suites from vendors including, but not limited to Microsoft, Amazon, Google, Adobe

- Architecture governance
- Advanced or excellent documentation and presentation skills – e.g. Architectural Design Document, Architectural Standard Document, Architectural Governance Document and Traceability from Architectural documentations back to requirements, etc.
- Working within a PRINCE2 based project governance environment highly valued
- Demonstrated experience in developing, communicating and maintaining technology architectures, roadmaps, policies and standards
- Providing a balanced point of view when understanding the need for strategic and tactical investments
- Managing and supporting the mitigation and resolution of architectural issues and risks
- Championing the adoption of architectural standards across the organisation
  
Daily responsibilities include:

- Production of strategy, architecture (enterprise & solution) and roadmap artefacts to document the journey to the future state
- Leading architecture workshops and consulting on design activities across a range of different technical skillsets
- Guiding low to high fidelity prototypes and designs using innovative approaches to complex problems
- Assisting in troubleshooting design issues and providing assistance with complex production issues
- Working with internal strategy, architecture (enterprise, technical & solution), infrastructure and service delivery teams to understand their technology roadmaps and strategies
- Working with vendors such as Microsoft, Google and Adobe to understand product roadmaps
- Advising the Director
- Collaborating with key stakeholders
