My client is a global media powerhouse who have a need for an immediate start .Net developer into their team.
The core offerings for this company are related to media analytics and trend services that they provide for their customers. They have a massive market share throughout APAC and have been growing steadily over the last few years.
This initial 6 month project is to refactor and further automate text search functions on a number of applications in their stack. The technologies in use are C#, ASP.NET, VB6 and SQL server. There will be a heavy reliance on WCF and WPF also for this role.
There will be a high level of code discovery required in this role as the applications have not been refactored for over a year and domain knowledge has been lost. The applications will need to interface with various node.js, Java and Lamba functions from the broader technology stack.
Requirements:
- Extensive .NET experience and expertise.
- Strong skills in both C# and ASP.NET.
- WCF and WPF are a must for this role.
- VB6 skills are less important, but a nice to have.
- Sound knowledge with SQL/Oracle SQL
- Experience developing desktop applications
- Solid programming techniques and experience.
- High level of code hygiene is a must in this role.
- Experience in Windows and Linux environments.
- Agile knowledge and experience.
- Australian PR or Citizen.
