The Company

Robert Half Technology are working with a market leader who are looking for a team orientated contractor for a new project. This company based in Port Melbourne are seeking an urgent GUI Developer to join within the next week.

The Role

Reporting to the Software Team Leader, the role of will commence immediately on a 3 month initial basis with the chance of extensions. You will be responsible for:

• Updating a UI under Windows 10 that incorporates web elements that run under Google Chrome browser and communicates to other devices and components via JSON.
• Working closely with back end developers and end users to update and extend the existing code to meet requirements.

The project incorporates the following elements:

• Embedded Devices with Google Chrome specific interface elements
• Linux control server accessed via JSON over TCP/IP interface
• Windows User Interface that communicates with the other elements

Your Profile

This is a Software developer role so it is very important to have exposure to UI Design & strong knowledge of C#.

Key skills include:

• Windows 10 development
• Visual Studio
• C#
• JSON
• Integration with Web browsers Google Chrome (embedded UI element)
• User Interface Design
• Consulting with end users to design an effective GUI
• Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English.
• Strong presentation and communication skills with end users.
