The Job Role

The requirement is for a Microsoft technical expert to assist the department’s development of system requirements, technical design and then coding and configuration of Microsoft Power BI to work with other legacy systems and applications.
The duties will be required to perform include but not limited to:

• Work with business and ICT stakeholders to understand business and technical requirements.
• Provide technical advice around possible design options.
• Evaluate existing technical implementations to understand existing functionality.
• Develop and document detailed technical designs in the form of user specifications and technical specifications.
• Configure a Power BI implementation to demonstrate the ability to Integrate with multiple databases and systems using web services.
• Produce various types of data visualisation e.g. dashboards, static reports, etc.
• Provide predictive analysis and data mining of integrated data sets.

Weighted Criteria

• Demonstrated high level experience as a Microsoft expert in large and complex, enterprise environments (preferably with Federal Government organisations).
• Previous experience developing and implementing new applications within a large organisation.
• Demonstrated ability to write technical specifications and design documents.
• Previous experience engaging various business and ICT stakeholders through various channels such as workshops and meetings etc.
• Previous experience with Microsoft platforms at the enterprise level.
