Randstad has a crucial requirement to acquire the services of an SQL Development Analyst to be responsible for design, develop and continuous improvement of the workforce planning model and associated tools, and to prepare analyses and outputs that meet the needs of the business.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the management of internal and external technological initiatives with various business stakeholders
  • Apply diverse statistical and analytics approaches and methodologies to identify complex relationships in data
  • Support and drive the development of strategic and high-value data assets and analytics models
  • Provide advanced expertise and experience with SQL across a range of scripting languages (e.g. Python, R, MATLAB etc.)
  • Design and develop applications and tools using various software with dedicated modules/libraries/distinct sections
  • Deliver data visualisations in industry standard tools (e.g. Tableau, Qlikview, Power BI etc.)

Key challenges:

  • Building process / systems to support the workforce planning function, given the range of stakeholders, the potential
  • resistance to change and the need for both structural and cultural change
  • Providing timely solutions in an environment where priorities and focus may be changing on a regular basis.
  • Providing timely solutions whilst design guidelines, best practices and standards have not yet been developed.

You will have:

  • Degree qualified in computer science, engineering or related field and have at least 5 years' experience in analytical technical languages (E.g. SQL, R, Python)and Tableau authoring capability.
  • Superior understanding of sophisticated design and analysis techniques, including data mining and predictive analysis.
  • You are adept at engaging with internal business customers at all levels within an organisation and are able to use your strong people skills to positively influence others. You are very experienced gathering and documenting requirements and user stories using a range of tools.
  • Experience in applying advanced statistical forecasting techniques
  • Experience across data integration / ingestion, cleansing and validation
  • Experience in building advanced data visualizations (E.g. Tableau, Qlikview, PowerBI etc.)
  • Demonstrable experience in maintaining technical "hygiene" (E.g. documentation, commented code, source / version control techniques etc.)
