The position is a newly created role, as the Infrastructure Engineer you are responsible for maintenance and operations of secure and highly available computing platforms, systems, and networks.

Description
Experience in a multi-site corporate environment with a passion for improving the end user / customer experience and
leveraging tech to streamline and modernise business operations is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain / monitor all network, security & computer systems to meet the organisation's current and future requirements
• Manage, maintain & design of storage, virtualised environment, systems, network devices, & productivity tools
• Monitor systems and identify performance issues proactively
• Resolve complex support issues in a responsive manner
• Test all changes to networks, hardware, software, and hosted applications
• Coordinate infrastructure design and implementation activities at different stages of projects
• Work with various vendors and service providers to ensure a productive environment
• Professionally represent the Technology team as a technical consultant on projects
• Maintain the necessary project plans and documentation of all system builds and modifications
• Interact and coordinate with vendors, suppliers, distributors and contract consultants
• Maintain a good working knowledge of current infrastructure and future trends
Profile
Ideal Candidate will have:
• Solid technical background including infrastructure networks, hardware, software and telecommunications
• Excellent Knowledge of Microsoft Server Systems including Active Directory, Exchange, SQL Server and Office 365
• Good knowledge of security, including firewalls, content control, intrusion prevention and vulnerability mitigation
• Experience using automated monitoring tools
• Experience with the planning and migration of infrastructure services from analogue to network based
• Experience in Microsoft System Centre 2012 and/or Microsoft Intune
• Ability to gather relevant information systematically to troubleshoot and resolve issues
• Ability to work in a highly collaborative team environment
• Good analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
• Good attention to detail, testing and documentation
• Knowledge of ITIL and industry best practices
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Scripting experience, preferably PowerShell
