A new 3 month contract opportunity is currently available for a Solutions Architect to join our Health and Community Services Client, based in Brisbane CBD.
The Solutions Architect will be responsible for the architectural design of technology solutions, aligning business requirements to systems/technical requirements, ensuring alignment with agreed enterprise roadmap.
Working as part of the Strategy, Planning and Architecture team, the role requires a Solution Architect who will partner with key internal and external stakeholders to design solutions, manage key technical risks and provide design leadership. They will be required to drive innovation and agility through the solutions and lead a holistic approach to integrating business and technical change.
This role will work with a range of stakeholders in the business, vendors and to deliver significant transformation benefits. It requires a collaborative Solution Architect with a pragmatic approach and highly developed relationship skills.
Further to this, you will be required to undertake the following key areas or responsibilities as below;
- Contribute to the enterprise solution design principles, guidelines, and best practices
- Contribute to the enterprise architecture roadmap
- Create, design and review solution architecture documents
- Identify and resolve complex technical issues
- Provide expert technical advice on the establishment and maintenance of a robust, innovative and scalable IT architecture to
meet the strategic goals of the organisation - Support applicable modelling efforts
- Influence functional teams in IT and business, using technical insights to show were capabilities, resources and skills need to be change or improved to deliver against roadmap
- Provides expert technical advice on the establishment and maintenance of a robust, innovative and scalable ICT architecture to meet the strategic goals of the organisation
- Participate in architecture governance processes from a solution architecture perspective
To be carefully considered for this role, we are seeking to engage a candidate demonstrating the following key areas of professional and personal competencies;
- Understanding of agile methodologies
- Understanding of enterprise architecture methodologies/ frameworks such as EnFEA, TOGAF, SSAE-16, OWASP, ISAE, NIST, ISO/IEC, CMMi, COBIT and COSO.
- Experience in IT as a Solution Architect in a related industry, for example delivering community services, health, disabilities or aged care.
- Formal tertiary qualifications in a related discipline
- Detailed understanding of enterprise architecture principles and methodologies
- Exceptional leadership skills
- Strong negotiation skills
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills
- Excellent problem solving and problem resolution skills
- Facilitation skills and an ability to achieve consensus
- Collaborative approach to achieving consensus
