Senior Database Developer
A leading financial services organisation based in the Sydney CBD are searching for a Senior Database Developer to join their team in initial 6 month contract.
This role will focus on delivering a enterprise sized data system in investment products.
Key responsibilities:
- Understanding business value and requirements to develop fit for purpose data solutions.
- Developing, testing, implementing and maintaining new and existing databases of high volume including associated ETL tasks.
- Reviewing database design and code. Ensuring solutions are built consistently and adopting agreed patterns.
- Ensuring solution delivery is automated in terms of build, test and deploy.
- Contributing to index strategy design. Performance tuning and optimisation of database solutions including creating automated performance tests.
- Developing Business intelligence reports based on customer needs.
- Ensuring all non-functional requirements have been identified and have been built into the solution.
- Activity contributing to continuous improvements to deliver higher quality solutions and more efficiently.
Skills and experience:
- 5+ years of experience in SQL server development
- 3+ years Large enterprise data solutions
- 3+ years financial services systems experience
- 2+ years developing BI reporting solutions
- Advanced database programming skills with SQL Server 2012/2016 that includes:
- design and development
- Writing Storedprocs, Triggers, Views, xQueries
- Database optimization (Performance and Index tuning).
- Advance ETL development using SSIS 2012/2016
- Database design Principles, Standard practices and patterns
- Strong database debugging skills
