My client is a large Government Agency based in Sydney's Inner suburbs and curently have multiple 12 month contract roles for Senior Business Analysts to come on board and provide functional expertise across an enterprise wide program of work they are undertaking.
The successful incumbent will have a proven track record working on large programs of work (ideally in a Government environment), excellent written and verbal communication skills and a pragmatic approach to problem solving.
Accountabilities and required skills:
- Lead the work stream to analyse the current state processes and map the desired state processes
- Document the business requirements and trace the business requirements through to delivery
- Understanding, documenting and maintaining the needs of multiple stakeholders
- Facilitating the negotiation of requirements amongst multiple stakeholders
- Identification of current and future state business and technical processes
- Creation, analysis and validation of functional specifications and complete gap analyses
- Monitoring of the program/projects compliance with prescribed project frameworks
- Provide support and input into regular project audit activities
- Contribute to user and system documentation where required
- Contribute to training materials where required
- Experience using enterprise business modelling tools is desirable
Additional attributes:
- Previous experience working within private sector as well as government
- Self-motivated individual that actively takes the initiative with an ability to work autonomously
- Persistent, effective problem solver with a mix of analytical and creative thinking
- Experience creating high quality project and program artefacts, within emerging or existing frameworks
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Advanced Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint skills
- PRINCE2 Methodology certification or equivalent awareness/experience
- Agile Delivery, SDLC experience and Vendor Management desirable
