    One of our leading government client's is looking a Document Controller, to work on upcoming infrastructure projects based in Chatswood. This is an 6 month initial contract, with a potential to extend.

Essentially, they are looking for Document Controllers, who have experience working in large infrastructure projects, specifically Construction or Rail Projects. Experience in TeamBinder or similar tools is a great advantage. This position will be responsible for receiving, recording, disseminating and tracking all correspondence, documents and drawings for a single project but will also be required to actively manage the project team's response to those documents. The successful candidate for this role must be prepared to engage with the project team and take on new activities as the project develops.

Candidates should have the following skills and experience:

  • Experience with Document Control, ideally on Large Infrastructure Projects.
  • Proven experience in the use of Electronic Document Management, Engineering Management or Project Management systems in a project environment.
  • An understanding of State Records legislation.
  • High level administration skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Experience with TeamBinder.

   Additional keys points for Document Controller:

  • Extensive knowledge of Electronic Document Management Systems.
  • Working on projects through design phases (30%, 70% and 100%) to approved for construction documentation.
  • Document editing including formatting external documents to project standards and submission requirements.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to take on and implement change as projects require.
  • Understanding of project Phases from start-up, design, procurement (tender & award), construction, commissioning, as-built and archiving.
  • Liaise with management team on any contractual requirements to satisfy document submissions.
  • Control and distribution of project communication from client, operating company or consortium members.
  • Relaying document control strategies and procedures for users to follow over each individual project.
