OpenAgent is looking for an experienced, passionate and ambitious Lead Visual Designer. Reporting to our Head of Product, we’re looking for someone who wants to be a part of a company that dreams big - and is building products that will fundamentally change how people buy and sell property.

In this role you will lead Product Design and overall brand design at OpenAgent. We are looking for someone who is passionate about product design and can lead a team to deliver world class design for our suite of products. You will collaborate and work closely with product managers, growth marketers, engineers and data analysts to design intuitive user experiences for our web and mobile products.

The role’s primary focus is product design, managing and mentoring more junior members in design, but will have exposure across the business to the full lifecycle of product design and development including interaction design, data visualisation, prototyping, and the production of high fidelity mockups ready for development.

In this role you will be supported by a leadership team that has scaled some of Australia’s biggest marketplaces. You will also have peers in the Product, Data, Growth and Engineering teams to lean on for expertise and execution.

The Role:

• Leading and overseeing all design work. Using your skills to elevate our product experience and brand to the next level.

• Work closely with our team of Product Managers to devise, design and build the next generation of OpenAgent products.

• Work closely with our Growth team to optimise our acquisition channels through continuous optimisation of our acquisition products

• Mentoring and developing our junior designer

• Maintaining and developing our UI guidelines, ensuring consistency between all platforms and products

• Owning our brand and occasionally producing assets for offline channels (print and television)

Qualifications and Experience

• 5+ years in a Visual designer role working with web and mobile products  

• Managing, leading and developing junior members of the team

• Bachelor degree in graphic design (or similar)

• Understanding of user experience, user interaction, and design across mobile platforms, devices and products

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• A team leader who can easily adapt in a rapidly changing environment, problem solving and time management skills

• A strong digital portfolio featuring examples of user interface design, user interaction and visual design work.

• Solid responsive/adaptive design knowledge

• Proficient with Sketch is a must. Also Adobe Creative Cloud/Suite tools, especially Photoshop and Illustrator.

• Solid understanding of principles of HTML/CSS, advantageous.
