Are you looking to start a career in telecommunications?

NDN has more than 20 years in the telecommunications sector and is a preferred contractor for the NBN rollout across Melbourne and Victoria. We are currently looking to grow our team to keep up with demand for our services.

We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, a quick learner, hard worker, reliable, able to work well in a team, and able to take and follow instructions from team leaders. This is a physical job working outdoors and exposed to the elements.

Experience is preferred but not required, as onsite training will be provided. This is a permanent part-time position with a minimum 24 hours per week, but often working a full-time week. There is occasionally opportunity for weekend and regional work, but this is not a requirement.

Our factory is based in the northern suburbs, and we work predominantly on this side of town - this position is ideally suited to someone living in the north-eastern suburbs.


Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Cable hauling

  • Rod and roping

  • Dig and rectify blockages

  • Implementing and maintaining safety protocols (eg. guards, signs)

  • Completion of daily pre-starts

  • Other duties as required by management

  • Reading construction drawings/plans

 

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Construction White Card

  • Current Victorian driver’s licence

  • Current police check

 

Advantageous Qualifications:

  • Enable Card

  • First Aid & CPR

  • Traffic Management

  • Forklift licence

  • Truck licence


Pay rate ranges from $23-$28 per hour depending on experience. Immediate start available, and there are a number of positions available.
