Our client is dedicated to ensuring 'multiple remote mine sites' have state of the art IP based communication systems (including Village Entertainment Systems). They require a Network / Communications Engineer with commercial experience designing, implementing and maintaining IP based communications systems including Entertainment Systems, audio, voice and WiFi solutions to join them on an initial 6-month contract.

Applicants with 5+ years' experience in a network communications-related field, preferably in a carrier or integration environment will be highly regarded. Joining an existing team of professionals, the skills/experience the successful candidate will demonstrate include:

• Layer 2 and 3 traffic engineering and QoS configuration 
• VLAN, Spanning Tree 
• IP Routing of OSPF, BGP, RIP, EIGRP 
• Cisco Call Manager 
• SNMP based monitoring tools 
• Cisco routing, switching, firewalls and WiFi 
• Knowledge of remote WAN and LAN communications site design 
• Network System management, integration and configuration with multiple systems 
• Experience working in a mining environment 

Must have Qualifications 

• Degree or diploma in IT, radio, electronics or telecommunications or equivalent industry experience 
• Cisco certified - CCDP/CCNP 

Desired Qualifications 

• Cisco Advanced Wireless LAN Field Specialist 
• Cisco Certified Voice Professional 
• Cisco Certified Networking Associate (or equivalent experience) 
• Cisco Wireless LAN Fundamentals (or equivalent experience) 
• Cisco Wireless LAN Advanced Topics (or equivalent experience) 
• Cisco Certified Networking Associate - Voice (or equivalent experience) 
• Certificate of Telecommunications Digital Reception Technologies
