We are looking for a Web Developers ( Mid to Senior ) with a proven track record to join a Niche Digital Media house based close to Melbourne CBD

What You'll be doing

• Providing unique, custom web design & web application development, mobile and online marketing solutions to SME's, corporate and non-profit organisations.
• Deliver quality web development work to a high standard, but with a highly creative flair, too.
• Comprehensive PHP and database development as you’ll be responsible for the delivery of quality, custom web application and CMS module development.
• Make our work better by leveraging the power of technology and development
• Work closely with designers, design strategists, creative directors and the broader design team to guide the interactive execution of projects from an interaction design, IA/UX, usability and development perspective
• Work closely with the dev team to optimize our infrastructure and processes
• Participate in client meetings where technology/development is discussed
• Present to both internal and external audiences to help educate, inspire and provide thought leadership on interactive technologies

Required skill sets include:

• Solid understanding of, and experience with, PHP and an MVC PHP framework
• Strong understanding of native JavaScript and considerable experience with React.JS
• Ability to write clean, documented (where required) and modular code
• Extensive experience and knowledge of CSS3, HTML5, Bootstrap, SASS and modern web practices
• Ability to interpret API documentation and integrate web services in a variety of formats (XML-RPC, REST, SOAP, etc.)
• Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills
• Demonstrated track record in client delivery and projects
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written, on a technical level
• Strong interpersonal, time management and communication skills, with advanced level English as a minimum
• A passion for all things web/digital
• Use of work flow planning & project management systems (we use Jira)

Desirable:

• Experience with GIT
• Experience estimating/quoting on development tasks
• Know your way around Linux
• Tertiary qualifications in IT / Computer Sciences / Web preferred

Bonus

• Experience with CMS platform SilverStripe , Wordpress , Drupal , Magento
• Experience with GO/Java
• Experience with Cloud technologies : AWS ( EC2 ,SQS , SNS , RDS )
