An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead a project team through a separation and integration project which includes various systems implementations across Finance, Asset Maintenance, HR, Payroll and Procurement.

Your role will be to manage the delivery of these projects from aspiration through to transition to operations. This will include ensuring that the projects are delivered on time and within budget meeting the clients’ business and technical requirements.

Your key responsibilities for this role will be:-
  • Establish and maintain collaborative and effective working relationships with the business, project teams and external implementation partners.
  • Run multiple projects on a day-to-day basis and take responsibility for their delivery using a core team of multiple resources - program scheduling core to ensuring achievable project schedules.
  • Management of all project inter-dependencies including oversight of any risks and issues arising
  • Managing communications with all stakeholders
  • Managing both the dependencies and the interfaces between projects
  • Managing risks to the programme's successful outcome
  • Managing budgets of projects
  • Have an understanding of the high-level technical architecture and be able to facilitate debate and assist in driving decisions on appropriate solutions.
  • Manage the portfolio and delivery planning and ensure high standards are produced to standard in a timely manner.
  • Monitor and manage the project process and track progress against milestones, deadlines and budget and produce weekly reports
  • Anticipate, manage and resolve issues and act as the point of contact for the Program Director.
  • Controlling and reporting progress for the program of projects to the Project Stakeholders
  • Escalating any issues, as appropriate and driving mitigation actions with minimal impact to Budget, Schedule, and resource overheads, in a timely manner.
  • Initiating corrective action where necessary to keep the project on time and within budget.
  • Working with the Project Stakeholders to document project goals, objectives and business justification, secure project resources
Suitable candidates will have the ability to effectively manage a large program of projects with at least 7+ years of strong Project Management experience.  A working knowledge of Project Management methodologies together with experience in implementing new Business Processes, applications implementation, functional/technical design, development, testing (System, Integration, User and Operational Readiness) through the full project life cycle would be highly regarded.  Some exposure to SAP, SuccessFactors, Chris21 and Coupa would also be highly regarded.
  
Ideally, you will have the ability to command respect and to create a sense of community amongst the members of a highly achieving project team and will have good knowledge of budgeting and resource allocation procedures.  Strong stakeholder management and excellent communication skills are essential to be successful in this role.

Interstate travel may be required from time to time.
