We currently have a real gem of a contract available. Stellar Tech are partnering with global giant who are further enhancing their delivery of smart technology and digital capabilities.

This initial stepping stone in to this "Bluechip" business will be a twelve month contract as a Data Technical Lead and will be responsible for scoping, implementation and reporting of data identification, extraction, transform and load (ETL) activities related to Predictive Analytics, Data Warehousing and other initiatives.

About the role

You will be responsible for closely with internal stakeholders to gain a thorough understand of data integration requirements and implement a solution to meet these requirements, also to report on progress against agreed KPIs.

Your goal will be to help the business integrate important data from disparate sources into a consolidated view, to be leveraged in driving Predictive Analytics, Business Data Analytics, and informed decision making. Your work will ultimately result in driving higher performance across the operation. As a key member of the Data Analytics team you work with other team members and internal business stakeholders (e.g. Business Analysts, Production Engineers, Production Technicians) to understand the data requirements for Predictive Analytics and other Programme initiatives.

Duties

• To work with team members and internal business stakeholders (e.g. Business Analysts, Production Engineers, Production Technicians) to understand the data requirements for Predictive Analytics and other Programme initiatives
• Work with Business Analysts to translate business requirements into sprints of technical delivery
• Work with other internal delivery teams to implement sprints related to data integration and warehousing
• Deliver project milestones within the portfolio and report progress to stakeholders
• Understand Data Warehousing/Data Integration best practice and implement solutions in line with these approaches
• Work multiple work streams/projects in parallel

Key Accountabilities:

• Help translate business data requirements into sprints of data integration/ETL/warehousing delivery
• Implement the data integration/ETL sprints related to Predictive Data Analytics and other relevant initiatives into the Data Warehouse
• Integrate solutions into the business and ensure the solution is sustained
• Build analytic knowledge in local asset
• Develop the approach to replicate across other organisational assets.

Skills and requirements

• Experience providing technical management and/or implementation of data projects related to one or more of the following: Data Warehousing, Data Integration, Extract
• Transform Load (ETL) Development, Data Modelling, Data Dictionary/Glossary Development
• Experience with Agile project delivery (Scrum experience desired, but not mandatory)
• Ability to accurately estimate the implementation effort for ETL, database/data warehouse, and data architecture components of a solution from requirements through to deployment
• Strong understanding of relational databases and system data models
• Strong understanding of complex Data Integration and Data Management
• Experience with the Oil & Gas industry is highly desirable
• Tertiary level of education is desired, but not mandatory
• Experience using and developing the following is also highly desired;
  • Efficient ETL processes across a wide variety of data sources
  • Expert knowledge in SQL
  • C#.Net
  • Restful Web Services
  • Microsoft SQL Server
  • Microsoft TFS
  • IBM Maximo
  • OSIsoft PI.
• Strong delivery focus and project management skills
• Technically competent in Data Integration and Data Warehousing (specifically ETL development)
• Experience with data analyst skills
• Experienced in agile delivery
• Understanding of PI and control systems

• Must be able to spend time in field operations on a regular basis
• Ability to work offsite and in field locations

This role will require some travel to other offices in regional QLD
