Reporting to the Test manager you will lead a test stream whilst managing a team consisting of both on and offshore resources. This is an immediate need and we need someone who can understand the "big picture" and know what's necessary to deliver. You should be proactive, have excellent stakeholder management skills and experience in dealing with vendors and teams in geographically dispersed locations. You will join a nimble and busy environment. It is highly desirable to have an understanding of the funds/ investment business.
Key Activities Include:
- Preparing and maintaining the projects test strategy and test plans
- Advising both internal and external clients of optimal processes for their respective projects
- Leading the project's through the test review, preparation, and execution and handover activities throughout the test lifecycle.
- Coaching and mentoring staff
- Contribute to testing discussions with a view to improving processes and standards within the team and across the organisation.
For each project; as Test Lead you are accountable for:
- Test Strategy
- Test Plan (including SIT, UAT, Performance, etc.)
- Test Completion reports (including SIT, UAT, Performance, etc.)
- Obtaining sign off for test artefacts and test deliverables
Skills Required:
- 2 yrs. + Experience in leading/managing a team (of at least 4 people);
- 5 yrs. + Experience in Testing;
- 5 yrs. + Relevant IT or Financial services experience;
- Experience in Agile style and traditional project methodologies
- Experience working with an offshore/distributed team;
- Experience in Customer (internal/external) facing roles;
- Experience across both Manual and Automated Testing
- Encourage effective teamwork through collaboration, enabling the sharing of skills, experience and ideas
- Strong client relationship management skills
- Strong planning and leadership skills
- Excellent communicator - Adaptability as we are looking for someone that can shift between projects and workload and be productive quickly
- Experience working with QC and other test management tools
Desirable:
- Test / Quality certification (ISTQB, CSTE, CMST, CSQA, etc.
