Due to our continued growth we are looking for a Level 2 Voice & Data Network Engineer to bolster the Support & Installation of Voice & Data Solutions to join our team.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES:
You will be responsible for maintaining and rectifying all level 2 customer voice and data faults, carrying out the deployment and configuration of Routers, IP Phones, WAP's, configuring extensions in our Hosted Voice Platforms (FreePBX and Broadsoft) and other networking equipment and solution designs, monitoring network and voice management systems for all service elements and on site installations of equipment when required.
The successful applicant must be able to communicate in a professional manner both with internal staff and onsite clients, be flexible and work with minimal supervision.
Key Accountabilities:
- Working knowledge of MPLS, IP, Fibre, Ethernet, DSL, SIP, Voice, VPN
- Exposure to Managed network environment
- Ensure processes are documented and maintained
- Hands-on experience with Cisco routers / switches
- Hands-on experience with IP Telephony (FreePBX / Broadsoft)
- Attend customer sites for implementation and maintenance
- Manage to resolution all assigned incidents, requests, events and changes
- Knowledge of SIP protocol, SIP trunking and call routing is essential
- Additional qualifications will be highly regarded.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- You will have 2+ years' experience in configuring, managing and troubleshooting multi-site environments comprising CISCO networking equipment
- You will have 1+ years' experience in configuring, managing and troubleshooting IP Telephony Solutions in at least one of either of the following three technologies:
- FreePBX
- Asterisk
- Broadsoft

Qualifications
- University Degree in Telecommunications / Networking / IT
- Diploma in IT and Network Support
- Cisco - CCNA, CCNP or CCVP qualified
- Electrical / Cabling Background (not essential)
