Client

Global, well-known brand, is after a Business/Data Analyst to be involved in a data-focused project -on scoping, requirements gathering, development, testing and implementation stages.

Responsibilities

• Translate business requirements to developers and testers
• Develop, document and manage business requirements for assigned projects
• Develop initial data views/draft reports for development by the big data team
• Analyse business problems, evaluate options and provide solutions
• Assist in analysis of current processes and make recommendations for improvement
• Understand enterprise information data and information management concepts and principles as a means of consulting with technical stakeholders
• Manage data using confluence, office and/or MS Team Services.
• Deliver the project within scope, time, budgetary and resourcing constraints
• Build and sustain solid working relationships with a wide range of project stakeholders
• Provide timely and accurate information and reports specific to the performance of projects
• Leverage agile and customer centric approaches in designing and implementing the solution
• Demonstrate high level of energy / initiative

Competencies

• Minimum 5 years recent work experience as a Business Analyst working on Analytics projects
• Demonstrated experience translating business requirements into technical solutions.
• Exposure to Big Data projects (highly regarded)
• Experience interfacing with Business and technical people
• Agile project experience
• Experience owning and creating user stories
• Knowledge of SQL and database structures
• Proven experience and track record in the successful implementation of IT projects
• Demonstrated skills in translating business requirements into technical solutions and have experience in the management of both infrastructure and application-based projects
• An ability to cope with complexity, ambiguity, change and variety
