The newly formed ICT asset management officer will:

• Be responsible, with limited supervision, fulfilling the Agencies ICT asset management processes. This will include but not limited to coordinating with regional ICT staff:
  • The ordering and distribution through our outsource provider desktop computing, desktop peripherals, mobile phones and tablets to the business
  • Ensuring the appropriate registration of new assets and asset movements;
  • Asset stocktakes;
  • Asset refresh and upgrade projects including role outs of ICT operating systems across the agencies existing desktop and mobile devices; and
  • Providing advice on ICT asset management, and as required escalating complex issues, to the ICT Business Manager.

• Create documentation of ICT asset management processes that are consistent with industry best practice and consistent with formal ICT Management Frameworks such as ITIL;
• Draft task cards, divisional communications, briefing papers and other corporate documents as they relate to ICT asset management;
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders in a positive and professional manner; and
• Work proactively and collaboratively to resolve problems and achieve business outcomes

The successful candidate will

• have prior experience undertaking ICT asset management function in complex geographic diverse organisations;
• be highly organised, methodical and have a high attention to detail whilst ensuring deadlines are achieved;
• have previous experience working as part of cross-agency teams spanning geographic locations; and have understand the importance of appropriate ICT asset management practices.
