About the company:

Our client is an International, reputable and well-known brand in their market. They are currently investing in expanding their existing data analytics capability across the organisation.

Role:

• To work on machine learning predictive models to drive data analysis
• Improve the use of data to support efficiency in the delivery of services that meet the user's and as well as the organisation's commitments.
• Develop the probability/statistical/data mining methods and application in a business environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in data engineering/Business Intelligence or Data Science
• Hands-on experience with Business Intelligence tools like Tableau/Power BI
• Must possess strong knowledge of probability/statistical/data mining methods and application in a business environment
• Demonstrated experience in building, validating, and leveraging machine learning models
• Must possess a good understanding of data tools/languages - R, Python and Scala
• Demonstrated skill with sourcing, cleaning, mining both structured and unstructured data
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Must possess strong internal and external communication skills with the ability to manage stakeholders
• Previous experience within an Engineering/ Mining background would see you excel in this role
• Experience using big data tools (ex: MDM, Hadoop, Spark, Hive, etc.) is preferred
• Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline, Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, ideally PHD level is preferred
