Data Security Expert – Security Architecture
Australian Financial Institution
One of Australia’s largest Financial Institutions is looking for a data security expert to sit in the security architecture and design team. To provide SME advice on data security across various frameworks and requirements to the rest of the security architecture practice. The successful candidate will be required to build and maintain relationships with senior leadership across the bank, especially within the platforms supported.
Key Responsibilities:
· Take overall accountability for data security throughout the bank and specifically for security architecture & design platforms
· Act as the point of escalation for advice on data security and a decision-making point for your platforms
· Represent the entire security group/security architecture and design team in other forums as required
· Maintain relationships within the solution architecture and design teams to ensure that all work is aligned with their respective strategies as well as the overall security strategy and roadmaps
· Act as a role model by displaying leadership behaviour that encourages productive working relationships and a strong performance culture, as well as an open, creative, and innovative approach to architecture
· Monitor emerging technologies, industry developments, directions, and best practices in the security field
Skills and Experience:
· 5 or more years’ in a cyber security role (Security Architecture or Security Design preferred)
· Industry certifications e.g. SABSA, CISM, CISSP and SANS
· Strong technical experience and subject matter expert (SME) for two or more security domains including extensive data security
· Experience with security consulting and stakeholder management
· Influencing skills with and without direct authority
· Experience in heavily governed and regulated environments
