The Opportunity

This position will support our high performing ICT team in the delivery of ICT helpdesk services for our corporate offices and Vessels, operating across Australia and the world. You will engage stakeholders to provide efficient customer service and ensure End Users follow ICT policy and procedures.

You will work in our Fremantle office, reporting to the ICT General Manager for a fixed term of one year with the possibility of extension. The ICT Support Officer is responsible for providing Level 1 - 2 technical support services to the Company’s ICT systems and network.

This opportunity will allow you to develop your ICT helpdesk skills, technical knowledge and experience within an efficient and knowledgeable team environment.

 

Duties:

  • Provision of ad-hoc training and feedback to customers that provides a benefit to both the customer and the ICT team;
  • Provision of accurate information and solutions regarding IT issues;
  • Provision of remote and on-site troubleshooting through the application of diagnostic techniques, troubleshooting and pertinent questioning processes;
  • Provision of cellular and satellite communication support, troubleshooting of system and equipment faults;
  • Successful installation and configuration of hardware, software, systems, networks, printers and other peripherals; and
  • Assistance with ICT projects as required (deployments, migrations, upgrades etc).

 

Skills and Experience:

  • Proven prior experience in a similar position, coupled with relevant qualifications and / or training;
  • Excellent communication and customer service capabilities;
  • Knowledge of:
    • Windows Desktops, Server and MS Office
    • Management of Office 365 solutions
    • Microsoft Server Technologies (2008/2012) and associated hardware
    • TCP/IP Networking with multiple subnets
    • Server hardware installation, configuration and troubleshooting
  • A high level of accuracy in the recording and reporting of information; and
  • Advanced time management skills including the planning, prioritising and scheduling of tasks.
