We are seeking applications from experienced individuals for the above role.

The role

The Technical Support Specialist provides support to EBSCO customers for software and technical solutions by

  • Providing technical support assistance to internal and external clients.
  • Using various problem identification skills, to diagnose problems, identify solutions, and drive issues to resolution.
  • Working with other internal organizations to communicate, prioritize, and advocate on behalf of the customer.
  • Communicating action plans to both client(s) and internal customers as appropriate.
  • Conducting independent research in order to find technical solutions to customer problems
  • Contributing to department attainment of organizational objectives and high client satisfaction.
  • Effectively utilising customer support skills to maintain a positive working relationship between sales, its customers and partners.
  • Demonstrating positive customer support skills validated by maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Providing training to peers.

The experience required

  • Basic understanding of HTML, JavaScript, XML, and networking.
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office Suite.
  • Strong organization skills are essential.
  • Experience in a customer support team assisting with technical enquiries and solutions.
  • Excellent command of English being able to read, write and speak effectively at all levels.
  • 1 Year of experience in web technology and software applications.
  • Being a graduate of Library or Computer Science will be beneficial.

This role is based in Richmond in Melbourne and our office is located a 5-minute walk from East Richmond station and trams also service the area.
