Key Accountabilities
- Design, build, install, integrate and maintain multiple complex software application technologies, platforms and/or systems and their interaction with processes and systems to deliver products and services to customer business units
- Translate customer (internal, external or regulatory) needs and requirements, using technical principles into realisable software application products, services, or systems in a timely, quality and cost effective way to ensure operational capacity
- Assess capability of vendor solutions and offerings to meet business requirements and manage vendor technology delivery.
- Make technology investment and business asset recommendations and assessments based on extensive knowledge of new and emerging technologies.
- Develop platform specific technology roadmaps that leverage opportunities from evolving and future technologies
- Design and software development of solutions to meet business needs
- Provides input and roadmaps to guide solution design for their service/application
- Participating in design workshops to understand Product Owner requirements (Epic/features) as required
Competencies
- 5 years+ experience in Agile teams in a variety of different contexts preferable.
- Proven experience in presenting and facilitation, demonstrating strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with integrating and deploying end to end applications
- Experience with AWS
- Secure Coding
Must have
- Java experience
- AWS professional experience
- Microservices
- NodeJS
- Spring Framework (example, Spring Boot, Spring Data, etc.)
- Version control tools (Preferably Git)
- Testing Frameworks (example, JUnit, TestNG)
- CI (Preferably, Bamboo)
- Build tools (Maven / Ant)
- Deep understanding of Agile delivery methodology and tools
Nice to have
- Experience in Pair Programming style
- Database experience
- Experience of working on web services
- Kotlin
- ReactJS / AngularJS or any other java script framework
- AWS certification will be highly regarded
