Our client is a large government department with offices in Chatswood looking for a contractor for a Tableau Development Team Lead.
This contract is initially for 6 months but is suited for candidates looking for a long term assignment as this role will be required on on-going basis.
Job description:
Key duties / responsibilities of this position:
*Manage a reporting and developer team engaged to provide Tableau visuals and dashboard development.
*Cleansing, blending and joining disparate data sets. (SAP, PMWEB, P6, MSP, Excel Access etc. (or equivalent experience))
*Creating Tableau visuals and dashboards using different sources.
*Writing and developing reporting frameworks utilising Tableau and the underlying data sets
*Ensure the resulting reporting framework, structure and application uses a consistent and sustainable approach
Requirements:
*Knowledge of standard project, program and portfolio reporting across all the project delivery disciplines
*Ability to write business requirements, epics and user stories to enable development team to reliably produce reports in Tableau
*Understanding of data structure, design and input methodologies
*Ability to create reporting dashboards using Tableau, Alteryx (a plus not a must), Sharepoint
Ability to work in an Agile environments and ability to manage sprints including a working knowledge of using Jira to manage sprints
*Working knowledge of data structures of Primavera, PMWeb, SAP, Cura (or equivalents)
*Ability to engage with and drive business stakeholders
*Good verbal and written communication skills
*Strong negotiation and influencing skills
*Superior leadership skills with the ability to drive a project team to deliver within tight deadlines
