Our company is seeking a full-time Infrastructure and Systems Analyst to join our IT team of 3 based in Clayton South.  The primary role of this position is to oversee the smooth running of technology at IG Design by providing support to end users by managing and maximising the value of the IT system of our business.

Reporting to the IT Manager, this role is responsible for deploying and maintaining Infrastructure systems with a focus on practical experience and advanced Network administration skills, Windows systems administration and SQL database administration.

You will have a high understanding of current and future technology such as server storage, network and routing, and ideally ERPs such as SAP B1.

Some of your tasks will include:

• Deployment and maintenance of all infrastructure to agreed standards and timeframes
• The ability to interface between IT and Business needs
• Provision of quality service and support of all IT systems
• Release changes to the environment in a controlled and practical manner which reduces risk and complexity
• Maintain system provisioning levels including hardware and software lifecycle management
• Update systems configurations in-line with best practise and defined standards
• Manage relationships with 3rd party software providers and external IT Service Providers
• Application of best practice and process in all situations to resolve issues while not compromising the integrity of the environment
• Comfortable and knowledgeable in MS SQL- ability to understand the data and its links and write queries to extract validated data
• Infrastructure experience with virtualisation VMware and ISCSI storage technologies
• Switching and routing- Juniper
• Experience with various commercial products incl. Microsoft server and desktop
• Write or update technical notes for application documentation to provide on-line solutions to commonly experienced situations

Apart from the usual well-developed verbal and written communication skills, high accuracy and attention to detail, strong organisational skills, ability to build relationships and work as part of a wider team, commitment, tenacity, resilience and the ability to stay calm under pressure, you'll also need to demonstrate:

• 5+ years’ experience System and Database Administration
• Experience operating, implementing, maintaining virtualised environments
• Proficient at deploying networks and operating traditional data centres
• Change management, incident management, IT and Cyber security
• Proven organisational skills and the ability to prioritise
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with all staff and service providers
• Analytical
• Excellent trouble-shooter/ problem solver
• Woks autonomously but understand the benefits of a team as well
• Takes ownership and accountability to find a solution
