Fibre Splicer - Permanent role - Melbourne

EDT is working with an established organisation based in Melbourne that is looking to engage a number of Fibre Splicers on a permanent position.

Due to continued growth, we are currently seeking expressions of interest from Fibre Splicers that have experience of Telstra Wideband / NBN.

Your role will see you working together in a team and responsible for:

• OTDR Testing
• Demonstrated ability working on Telstra/Optus/Vodafone networks or similar
• Single-Mode, Multi-mode, Fusion fibre splicing, testing and installations 
  - Exchange Superstructure installations
  - Exchange cabling and terminating (Cat5, Cat6, Fibre).
  - Provide assistance to team members
• BTS Installation, Commission, and Integration (including Drive/Handover Test, and Fault Find/Rectification)
• DC Rack Installation, Commission, and testing (including Fault find/rectification)

Minimum experience required:

• At least 2-3 years' experience in similar roles
• Certificate III in Telecommunications
• Drivers Licence
• Open cabler licence
• Construction white card
• First Aid certificate
• Confined Space certificate
• NBN Safety and Awareness
