Our State Govt Client "Revenue NSW" is requiring a Portfolio Manager to join the team on a contract for a 6 month duration with a possible opportunity of going permanent.
Overview:
Manage a broad portfolio of strategic business initiatives aligned to the digital transformation of the property industry. Support the sponsor (the product manager) to deliver the product strategy and team with business SMEs to shift the business from a project focused to a product focused organisation. Manage a product portfolio through business process, technology and digital change. and achieve cost and efficiency benefits
Key Responsibilities:
* Work closely with the Portfolio Sponsor to deliver the product vision
* Lead the development of an integrated plan for projects and work-streams
* Manage the business SME’s leading a combination of initiatives to deliver the integrated plan
* Maintain a strong delivery focus in a complex, matrix environment, managing multiple streams of work
* Understand the business and process improvement priorities and align project plans to achieve these goals
* Combine technical delivery skills with strong business acumen to deliver to achieve benefits
* Model good leadership to inspire people, drive change and deliver results
* Manage layers of governance and reporting requirements
Essential Skills and Experience Required:
* Proven history of working with cross functional teams
* Equally at home on the business and technical side of projects
* Proven success in a project management role in government or Tier 1 / Tier 2 organisations
* Extensive knowledge of project management methodologies including waterfall and agile with minimum of 8 years’ experience including:
* Preparation and management of project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, resources and project deliverables
* Sprint planning
* Control of change request processes
* Identify, report and manage project issues and project risks
* Business improvement and change management
* Property knowledge and/or legal background will be well regarded
Qualifications
* Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology or Business and IT or demonstrated, equivalent professional experience and training.
* Project and/or Program Management qualifications (e.g. Prince2, PMBOK, Agile, MSP, CPPM+)
40 hour week Mon-Fri, Police Clearance required before onboarding.
Start date 1/8/18 to 31/1/19 - possible extension view of permanency.
