We have a fantastic permanent opportunity for an experienced End-User Computing Infrastructure Lead to join our Technology & Innovation division.
Purpose of the role:
The purpose of the role is to deliver end user technology services and solutions across Link Group. This will involve working closely with our technology partners to ensure all end user systems are highly available, well supported and incidents are identified and resolved in a timely manner. Where infrastructure is not supported by our technology partners these are to be managed end to end ensuring availability Service Level Agreements are not only met but exceeded. Review customer performance and make recommendations to improve activities in terms of systems effectiveness, efficiency, productivity improvements and quality.
Key Accountabilities:
- Provide full end user infrastructure support of the various business units across Link Group.
- Provides accurate and timely solutions to end user computing problems to ensure our end-user experience is of the highest quality.
- Design, develop and support standard Link Group IT end user infrastructure to meet business requirements
- Evaluate, select and manage technical solutions to meet the business requirements
- Provide technical support to assist in the resolution of end user related to major incidents
- Provide technical support for escalated issues as required
- Ensure audit and compliance protocols are reviewed and complied with
- Provide technical input into Crisis/Incident Management as required
- Ensure all work adheres to appropriate change management, audit and compliance protocols
- Provide input into the DRP, BCP and annual audit process
- Ensure procedural documentation is maintained and updated accordingly and adheres to ISO 27001 and GS007 standards
- Any service requests or incidents must be responded to within Service Levels and resolved as soon as possible. If the error cannot be resolved, it must be escalated to software and hardware vendors in a timely manner

Essential skills and experience:
- 5 Years’ experience in the design, implementation and support of end user IT infrastructure systems
- 5 Years’ IT experience with end user services in a mission critical financial services environment
- Expert to Managed Operating Environment including Active Directory, Group Policy, Windows 7-Windows 10, Exchange, Office 365, Skype for Business, Mobility
- Expert with desktop Patch and Security Vulnerability Management
- Experience with SOE design and build
- Experience supporting an Enterprise environment preferably within Finance industry
- Experience working with Managed Service providers
- ITIL framework knowledge with prefered experience with ServiceNow
- Highly professional approach and customer focused
- Ability to approach technical issues and problems in an analytical and solutions focused manner
- Understanding and appreciation for a disciplined IT approach to incident, problem and change management
- Good organisational skills with the discipline to complete daily operational tasks accurately and consistently
- Take initiative on continuous improvement
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to deal with busy, high pressure situations
- Self-starter with the ability to work autonomously
- Works well within a team environment
Essential Qualifications
- Appropriate post graduate Degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science/Information Technology
