Strategy Manager – Network Engineering and Operations

Previous experience in telecommunications is a requirement for this position.

• Senior stakeholder engagement, partner with the business to drive results
• lead complex strategic planning activities and lead the strategy definition and alignment process across Network Engineering and Operations (NEO)
• As the driving force in developing and maintaining strategies that direct action across NEO, you will work towards achieving corporate objectives in a number of key functional areas.

Specifically responsible for:

Strategic Planning & Formulation

• Lead the work across the NSO and nbn to review the NEO Strategic Plan; development of key strategies.
• Develop and manage short and long term Strategic planning process.

Strategy, solutions and scenario Analysis;

• Lead and develop key NEO strategies through engagement of stakeholders including the definition of innovative, digital solutions that enable NEO’s long transformation objectives.
• Lead production of scenario analysis and high value solution options. Ensuring that strategic drivers and critical business issues are addressed.

Strategy Execution and Integration

• Define and align strategic initiatives across NEO, engage with multiple areas of the business to ensuring the integrity of analysis and recommendations, business alignment and support of initiatives.
• Design the execution and transition plan for the strategy

Strategy Documentation

• Manage the production of a significant amount of high quality word documents, briefing notes and presentations for Executive team, Board and Shareholders.

K EY REQUIREMENTS / SKILLS:

• A self-starter, with the ability to manage their own piece of work – a problem solver
• Experience in strategic planning, capacity building and project management methodologies
• Previous project management experience, demonstrated ability to manage project manage business strategy
• Strong problem solving and root cause identification skills with the ability to frame complex problems and identify key issues
• Solid background in strategy development, experienced in corporate or business strategy roles - Business problem solving skills
• Strong research and analytical skills with the ability to innovate and   interpret information effectively
• Acute business acumen and understanding of relevant industry organisational issues and challenges.
• Experience in managing own work streams (including building and running processes) and delivering on time
• Ability to maintain good visibility in the businesses and considered to be a potential leader
• Ability to generate own insights/messaging and frame individual stories
• Presents well and leads meetings with senior stakeholders
• Highly developed process management skills
• Exceptional communication skills (high developed written, verbal) skills with advance storyboarding ,   PowerPoint, ThinkCell expertise  
• Highly developed presentation skills and the ability to design and lead workshops
• Ability to provide strategic thought leadership including strategic analysis and consulting methodologies and frameworks
