Position Summary:
Opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to be part of a 2 year Big Data Transformation program of works.
Responsible for managing Agile delivery streams and collaborating with Architects to ensure a best in class outcome is delivered and business objectives are met.
Must have experience managing projects on Big Data platforms, such as Google Cloud Platform (stack) or Cloudera/Hadoop.
Mandatory Skills:
- 8+ Years of IT Experience
- Experience in implementing large DWH systems or IM transformation projects - from conceptual to implementation
- Cloud Data Warehouse and/or Data Lakes (Google Cloud experience highly desirable)
- Experience with Big Data Technologies & frameworks
- Familiarity with CICD
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strength in Agile Methodology using tools like Jira/Confluence
- Experience managing and reporting Burn Rates, coaching scrum masters and motivating development & testing teams.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Daily project management throughout the program lifecycle
- Tracking to the program governance guidelines
- Reporting of risks, issues & dependencies
- Recommending mitigating actions to Program Manager and leadership teams
- Planning sprints and co-ordination of project meetings
- Managing budgets and burn rates
- Driving team leads to deliver solutions
- Managing stakeholders’ & status reporting to management.
