About the Role
This role is a position within the Office of Alumni and Philanthropy, a unit located in the International and Advancement Division.
The Office of Alumni and Philanthropy (OAP) is responsible for delivery of the University’s advancement aspirations, including the Shaping New Futures and Alumni Connect lead strategies outlined in the NeW Futures Strategic Plan [2016- 2025].
The Information Systems Specialist is responsible for undertaking strategic analysis and reporting related to alumni engagement, philanthropy and sponsorship, and develops key systems and interfaces to record and report information. The Information Systems Specialist supports the Advancement Services and Systems Manager by ensuring that the CRM is operating as efficiently as possible and is able to record and report on accurate data. This role is responsible for maintaining partnerships with colleagues around the university, including IT, SPP and faculties to:
- Ensure system reliability and stability
- Ensure that internal stakeholders are aware of the data that is available and have the knowledge and systems to access relevant data
- Provide alumni and donor information in a format that is accessible and relevant and
Develop and maintain business intelligence so that it continues to meet the university’s alumni and philanthropic objectives.

Skills and experience
The successful candidate will possess:
- A relevant degree with at least four years subsequent relevant experience in a business intelligence or system/data analyst role; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
- Demonstrated knowledge, experience and track record in CRM systems maintenance and integration processes and the ability to discuss high level details with colleagues around the university.
- Demonstrated experience and commitment to working in a client focused manner at all times, maintaining exceptional customer service as well as demonstrated experience working and building relationships with people across various levels of an organisation and key external stakeholders.
- Extensive experience writing, editing and proofing code in SQL or statistical programming languages and experience with web-programming languages is desirable.
- High level written and verbal communication skills as well as proven organisational, time and project management skills including the ability to undertake work with high attention to detail and think critically and analytically.
- High level computer analyst skills, with a high level of competency in all aspects of information technology, including Microsoft Office suite and report creation, development and data manipulation in customer relationship databases.
- Commitment to continuous improvement and ability to work flexibly, independently and as an effective team member whilst maintaining high levels of sensitivity and confidentiality at all times.
- Knowledge of the university’s policies and procedures on equity and diversity, performance development, work health and safety and promoting a respectful workplace culture.

Salary
HEW 7 from $84,302 per annum plus 17% Superannuation contributions to Unisuper.
