• Urban Designer - Band 6 or Band 7
• Six month contract position
• Inner Metro Council - very easily accessible

Design & Build are working exclusively with an inner metro council in the recruitment of an Urban Designer at a band 6 or 7 level. This is a six month contract role and is due to an increase in workload and upcoming projects.
  
In this role you will be responsible for projects which will change, but more importantly improve this council’s facade.
  
You will be working on streetscape upgrades, 3d modelling and options testing for a marina, as well as developing options for allowing outdoor trading on a street e.g. shared zones, parking spaces, etc.
  
This will be coupled with assisting with the delivery of council’s transport strategy for 2018/19, particularly bike networks. Along with urban design referral responsibilities.
  
This role is suited to a designer who has had considerable experience in managing major projects, ideally in a Local Government environment.
  
Requirements include:

• A relevant tertiary qualification in architecture, urban design, landscape architecture or a closely related field.
• Significant experience in complex project management and the delivery of integrated outcomes.
• Relevant experience working in architecture, urban design, landscape architecture, strategic and land use planning or closely related field.
