JIVARO is currently working with one of Australia's most well known Womenswear retailers. They are currently going through a huge period of growth and are seeking a highly creative and driven Trend Designer to join there team.
In this role, you will be responsible for trend inspired design direction, multi-category product design and development of storyboards and colour palettes in line with the brand's handwriting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyse relevance of trends for brand plan ranges accordingly in collaboration with buyer
- Create/visualise outstanding new designs in line with the brand's handwriting and product strategy
- Participate in collaborative workshops with design team to develop on trend/commercial story boards and colour palettes in line with the brand
- Present trend boards per product category to buyer, with direction from monthly storyboards that ensure key trends, shapes colour direction and fabrics are considered
- Research fabric trends for the season and brief production team to source fabrics and trims
- Complete the design brief, post concept sign off to standard required, ensuring detailed accuracy, and that QA and production are adequately briefed to minimise re-work
To be successful you will have:
- A tertiary qualification in Design is essential
- Skilled in visualising design concepts (by hand or PC/MAC)
- Fabric and raw material knowledge
- Strong technical knowledge and garment construction skills
