Your new company
Our client is a newly established interior design firm that has years experience operating in Melbourne. Specialising in mainly hospitality and retail projects, this studio prides itself on their longstanding client relationships and their commitment to design excellence. This practice is looking to employ a talented team of designers due to a substantial project wins and growth.
Your new role
Your new employer offers a range of services to their clientele including design, documentation, digital and brand design and architectural services. As the Interior Designer, your new role will sit in the design team and you will be responsible for a range of duties including; schematic design, pitching, client presentations, design development just to name a few. It is expected you will have the experience to work autonomously. Working on high profile and large scale Hospitality projects, you will be given full ownership to run your own projects from start to finish.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have a minimum 2 to 4 years’ post graduation experience and be well versed in all project stages; including strong concept and presentation skills, client liaison experience, consultant co-ordination and team management.
Strong AutoCAD or Revit and Adobe Suite skills are preferred; as is your ability to effectively manage projects while demonstrating excellent organisational and time management skill. Due to the nature of the role, it’s important that you have excellent communication skills as this role will see you heavily liaise with external consultants, client and manage an internal team of designers.
We are seeking a good design thinker with aptitude for commercial outcomes. You must be focused on design excellence and be able to explain your passion and ethos to achieve that. Your experience working in either top tier or mid-sized firms are highly looked at.
