The role

We are seeking a Managing Principal – Architecture for our Sydney office. This hands on role includes responsibilities for the continued growth of our architecture business, development of our talented and enthusiastic team and the continued, commercially successful delivery of projects for our clients. This role drives client acquisition, the key objective is increased revenue and utilisation through expanded client relationships and new client acquisition that delivers sustainable profit for the group.

The successful candidate will be a senior and seasoned professional with substantial professional experience and knowledge leading a practice and in the delivery of projects. 

Primary functions of the role include:

- Leading and developing the existing team including performance, people and resources
- Provide leadership to the team in line with GHD’s values and objectives
- Supporting the group to achieve successful project delivery and working to meet key performance indicators for safety and financial targets
- Proactively seeking out opportunities, preparing proposals, developing pursuit strategies and managing the bid process
- Develop and drive KPIs for all GHD Woodhead Sydney to raise brand profile through increasing industry profile of seniors and principles through targeted publications, project exposure in architectural publications and actively nominating suitable project for industry awards
- Driving and implementing the actions required to deliver the GHD Sydney Business Plan
- Establishing and maintaining effective relationships with project directors, job managers existing and new clients

- An appropriate tertiary qualification and professional accreditation to practice in NSW together with a minimum of 10 years professional practice, ideally gained in a professional services environment and which includes current experience in a leadership role.
