About the business

The Lumery is a unique approach to help organisations solve the challenge of delivering amazing customer experiences across all digital channels in an automated and highly measurable way.

Too many organisations have invested heavily in marketing and advertising technology, and the promise of a connected experience, without seeing the results they were seeking.

Our view is that businesses need access to a team of experts that can help them unlock the full potential of their technology investments. A team that is focused on challenging them to constantly improve, can advise across their entire technology stack and is invested in making them successful.

The Lumery provides the most transparent, collaborative and measurable partnership to help leading APAC brands deliver value that matters. We're not focused on just opens and clicks – we exist to drive revenue lift, customer engagement, transformational change and to push the boundaries in digital marketing.

We work with a diverse range of clients delivering scalable and highly executable solutions in data strategy, cross channel digital marketing strategies, UX/UI design and CRO.

About the role

  • Working on a large variety of digital projects across eDM, web, & digital.
  • Design and do the creative production for email (understanding of email HTML production is a bonus) and onsite experiences (design for web and mobile only).
  • Create, improve and use wireframes, prototypes, style guides, user flows, and effectively communicate your interaction ideas using any of these methods.
  • Present and defend your design decisions. All your design decisions should be based on the overall design roadmap as well as your own design thinking and fundamental principles (i.e. colour theory, visual weight, etc.)
  • A natural collaborator that works with design leads to ensure the solution meets brief and program objectives.
  • Actively participates in team meetings to discuss project parameters and outcomes.

Skills and experience

You're fresh to the industry and ready to cut your teeth so we're looking for someone who's hungry to work collaboratively with designers and internal teams, working on a range of digital platforms. Someone who is truly passionate about design and wants to progress their UI skills in an agile start-up style environment. Keen to learn UX and be exposed in this field.

  • Degree in design, marketing or similar
  • Up to 2 years design experience as in-house resource or as a freelancer. Agency experience is beneficial but not required.
  • Confidence and resilience required to deal with a fast-paced working environment.
  • Ability to take critique and implement changes.
  • Experience in Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, InVision.
  • Knowledge and use of basic front-end languages: HTML5, CSS3, Javascript.
  • Demonstrates the ability to utilise feedback/direction from creative lead to generate multiple design explorations.
  • Careful attention to detail and exceptional communication skills.
  • You understand that design is more than an image, it is an experience that transfers to all digital channels and therefore consistency is key.
  • You have an understanding and interest in digital channels and can design experiences for email, web and push.
  • You have an understanding of user patterns, online behaviours and how people absorb information that will drive user centric creative solutions.
  • You are ready to take on design production, from wireframing through to polished designs, and understand what it takes to get things to market.
  • You can employ creative exploration techniques to help you flesh out ideas and deliver solutions that meet the brief.
  • You are hungry to learn the intricacies of the digital channels and delivery platforms you will be producing.
  • You are keen to dive into the world of data-driven design and learn more about how quantitative and qualitative research can drive tactical creative solutions.
  • Learning and improving on your skill base is important. You want to work with a team that is collaborative, open and focused on delivering results. At the same time, you're not afraid to think differently, share your opinion and can challenge the status quo – and are prepared to back it up.
  • Attention to detail is your middle name. Letting a mistake out into the wild really annoys you and you will not let that slide. This level of attention also means you question what you present to your team members, and to customers – it's all about quality, not quantity, so you want to ensure that every presentation counts.
  • A start up environment excites you. Being a part of something awesome from the ground up gives you a sense of pride and ownership. The need to be proactive and on the front foot suits your personality.
